I went to the Google homepage this morning a noticed a new addition, Google romance http://www.google.com/romance/. I didn't know that they were developing a service such as this. The online dating industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, but it has been recently plagued by allegations that services such as Match.com were paying actors to go on dates with its members and reply to their messages making the customer think that they actually met someone of interest. Because of Google's "do good to all" motto, many of the paying customers who reside on websites like Match.com may move their business to Google to actually have a real dating experience. This could be a significant growth sector of this company. Were the intentions to develop a dating portal made public?
