Biogen (BIIB) Stock Surges On Earnings Release

Biogen Idec (NASDAQ:BIIB - News) shares gained 8.4% after the company reported substantially higher third-quarter earnings, due to increased drug sales and hefty accounting charges taken during the 2005 quarter.
