Microvision Inc. (MVIS) Stock Soars on Motorola Deal
Scanner and imaging display maker Microvision Inc. said Tuesday it signed an agreement with handset maker Motorola Inc. to work on integrating its PicoP ultra-miniature laser-based display projector with handheld devices.
Terms of the deal were not released.
Microvision anticipates that small, laser-based projectors will eventually let mobile device users project content like Web sites, presentations and videos onto surfaces.
The company said its first task with Motorola will be to create a working prototype that join its PicoP projector with a mobile device.
