Time to Move into Commodities

On its face, the North American stock market is having the best run in history. We are close to new records every third day. The days in between resemble riding a seesaw at a playground. Yes, the market is having a good year. But, how many people have the forsight to do the individual stock picking that is required these days. For example, who would have tought Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) would have beat the street so handily. And Baidu.com pleasing investors so much after their earnings news today that it triggered a buying spree that took a $200 stock up 20 points in the aftermarket, give me a break. These market conditions remind me of being at a better than average casino where you need to pick your bets and bet big when you take the risk. Who has that kind of gambling talent. There is a solution. Commodities.Today's commodity market has the stability and growth potential to draw an enormous amount of equity out of stocks and into the commodity market. For example you should be buying any commodity that requires bee pollination. It has been estimated that anywhere from 30-60% of the bee population in the US has diminished. This looks like a great mid term high return investment.

Thanks for the submission to the Carnival of Stocks. I'll remember to think "Bees" when looking for alternative investments :-) Seriously, I think the next couple weeks will be "make or break" for the stock market. See you at the Carnival.
