Copernic Inc. (CNIC) Stock Surges on SEC Clearing
Shares of Copernic Inc. rose Wednesday after the company said the Securities and Exchange Commission finished an investigation into allegations of past stock manipulation and didn't recommend any enforcement action against the company.
Shares of the Montreal-based online search service -- which used to be known as Mamma.com Inc. -- added $1.18, or 67 percent, to $2.95 in afternoon trading. In the past year, Copernic has traded between $1.10 and $8.60.
The company said late Tuesday that it received a letter from the SEC stating the investigation had been finished.
