Qualcomm (QCOM) Hires Apple's (AAPL) Former Lawyer
Qualcomm Inc. said Friday that former Apple Inc. executive Donald J. Rosenberg has joined the chipmaker as head lawyer and general counsel.
Rosenberg replaces Lou Lupin, who resigned in August after a series of legal setbacks in the company's patent battles with Nokia Corp. and rival chipmaker Broadcom Corp.
Qualcomm said Rosenberg will be responsible for all legal matters and worldwide legal strategy. He will also hold the titles of executive vice president and corporate secretary.
