Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap May 20th

Parker-Hannifin (PH), Eaton (ETN), First Solar (FSLR), Emerson (EMR)
In a volatile market, Cramer suggests sticking with bullish themes that have a future. Instead of investing in a company that wants to perfect the next cool gadget, Cramer once again touted new tech stocks which can solve real problems such as energy, food, water, the environment, poverty, fighting terrorism, disease and education. PH, ETN, FSLR and EMR are developing new technologies to tackle global challenges. Cramer singled out PH for its generous, safe dividend.
Navistar International (NAVZ), Cummins (CMI)
Navistar, which has 60% market share of school buses and trucks is Cramer's favorite in the industry after CMI. NAVZ is developing hybrid diesel engines which can reduce fuel costs by 9-13% and its military division could earn $2 billion. The biggest catalyst is the company's relisting on the New York Stock Exchange. NAVZ was delisted a few years ago after facing accounting problems but should return to the exchange any week now. Cramer thinks this story is similar to Terex's which saw a doubling of its share price after cleaning up its accounting problems. Cramer predicts NAVZ, which trades at a mere 7.7 times forward earnings will jump to $104, a 51% bounce.

Jim Cramer's Stop Trading May 14h

Buy Caterpillar (CAT), Jim Cramer said on CNBC's "Stop Trading!" segment Wednesday.
On news of an earthquake that has cost a great deal of damage and as many as 15,000 lives, Cramer spoke of the "rebuild in China," which he said was an equivalent of Hurricane Katrina in terms of infrastructure buildout. He pointed viewers to Caterpillar and Terex (TRX) as plays on the news. He also recommended Cummins (CMI). "They're all headed up ... because of the rebuild," he said.
Cramer said today's rally has a lot to do with bullish action from mortgage insurer Freddie Mac (FRE). "They have gotten rid of the systemic risk," he said. He called Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (FNM) the "last of the black holes" for the financial crunch.
Cramer said Freddie is getting a lot of business, which he thinks may actually offset the company's losses. He said bears don't believe that's the case, but he pointed out that Freddie is a well-run company. Fannie is not as good, he said.
In the consumer discretionary space, Cramer said he had thought "the buyers would just call it quits" after the government's stimulus checks came in. He revised his forecast, saying maybe earnings from Kohl's (KSS) tomorrow will be the time to sell.
He expressed his surprise at the continued rise of some retailers. "Certainly we know that Costco (COST) is better than we thought. ... TJX (TJX) was a little disappointing, and look -- it goes up." He pointed out that Wal-Mart (WMT) stock has traded back to where it was before reporting earnings.
"A lot of people feel that the worst is over," Cramer said. He pointed out that the Fed called victory when inflation numbers came in better than expected.
Cramer also said that the year of wind power may arrive this year, not next year as he had previously predicted. He pointed out bullish action in Fluor (FLR) and First Solar (FSLR) as evidence of alternative energy stories.
He also said that Research In Motion (RIMM), Apple (AAPL) and MasterCard (MA) are offering leadership in the economy.
On the housing crisis, Cramer said that Toll Brothers (TOL) CEO Bob Toll was "negative negative negative" when the two spoke on last night's "Mad Money" TV show. He predicted that the housing problem in Florida would be much better in 18 months.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Sept. 25th

Cramer started off by saying that it's important to buy stocks that will bounce back the hardest.
CBRL Group (CBRL): operator of the iconic Cracker Barrel restaurant chain. Cramer believes that the company is in a good position after revamping their menus and buying back a ton of stock. They had the biggest buyback in percentage of shares outstanding of any company at 54% over the past year. Cramer is crazy about the buyback.
He then took a couple of calls: One caller asked about Brinker International (EAT), which Cramer doesn't like at all. Another caller asked about Wendy's (WEN) and Cramer said don't even look at Wendy's. He suggested that he get in McDonald's (MCD) instead because it is best of breed.
Yesterday, Cramer discussed how Best Buy is leveraging their growth by expanding international. Tuesday he discussed Textron Inc. (TXT). He feels that its Cessna unit will have large worldwide demand in the upcoming years. Honeywell (HON), a company that has been very successful at forecasting the aircraft business, predicts record sales of business jets, Cessna's "bread and butter." Cramer said the rest of the world will soon surpass America in business jet sales, which makes Textron a solid business-jet play.
Before Cramer started the Lightning Round, he recommended that holders of Baidu.com (BIDU) and Focus Media (FMCN) take some profits off the table. The holders of these stocks should sell half their holdings.
In the next segment, Cramer talked about a defense stock that was booted from the NYSE, but will profit from the new defense budget. The stock is Navistar (NAVZ.PK). Cramer also likes Cummins (CMI) and PACCAR (PCAR) in this sector, but Navistar has a lower multiple.
Next, Cramer had John Dioniso, the CEO of AECOM (ACM) on the phone. Cramer has been recommending the stock, and the company has been delivering profits so far. In his opinion, Cramer thinks Aecom is "money in the bank."
Sudden Death:
Brookfield Asset Management (BAM): "Keep buying!"
Spartan Motors (SPAR): No, buy Navistar (NAVZ.PK) instead.

Bullish:
SunPower (SPWR) and First Solar (FSLR): Cramer thinks that are all better alternative energy plays.
Sirius (SIRI): Likes better than XM radio.
Cummins (CMI): Don't walk away from. Take a little off the table.
Celgene (CELG): Buy instead of Amgen
Caterpillar (CAT): Let it come in..then buy.
US Steel (X) or Reliance Steel (RS).
China Finance Online (JRJC)
Bearish:
Headwaters (HW): Better plays in the energy sector.
XM Satellite (XMSR)
Tribune (TRB): Cramer thinks that the $34 per share deal will go through, even though it is a bad deal for employees, because Sam Zell is a man of his word. Employees should "Sell, Sell, Sell!"
Blockbuster (BBI): Don't have a good view of this stock. Don't buy.
Fossil (FOSL): Sell
CIT Group (CIT): Don't buy.
Arcelor Mittal (MT)
Amgen (AMGN):

Najarian: Tuesday's actions all about the financials. Financial Select Sector SPDR, ton of volume in call options.
Macke: Can't be short financials now.
Adami: continues to like financials; Lehman Brothers(LEH), Goldman Sachs (GS) and Morgan Stanley (MS)
All Clear on Wall Street? CNBC's Charlie Gasparino discussed whether brokers are a buy now. Gasparino feels confident about most of the brokers except Bear Stearns (BSC)--lease diversed and tied to credit markets.
OIL: Crude oil hit another record touching $81.51 and gold traded to $735, its highest level in 27 years. Author Dennis Gartman: Shocked by feds decision. Thinks stock market will continue to climb.
Housing Market: Adami: housing stocks are back for a trade. He likes Hovanian, (HOV), Toll Brothers (TOL) and Pulte Homes (PHM)
Finerman: Still likes Home Depot(HD), which she owns for its cheap valuation.
Word on the Street: Cummings (CMI) and Caterpillar (CAT) exploded higher on the Fed cut. Najarian: Thinks CAT has much more upside to come.
Global: China and Brazil's markets soared on the rate cuts. Tim Seymour, Principal at Red Star Asset Management, joined the crew to discuss the emerging markets. Seymour likes gold and Brazil ETF (EWZ)
Face 2 Face:
Viewer writes: "What happened to the recommendation to get out of gold if the Fed dropped its rates?" Adami reiterated his bearish stance on gold.
Viewer writes: "Should I sell my October $195 call options on Goldman Sachs (GS) now or is there still more upside?" Najarian- feels strong about GS, but you should take half the position off before earnings.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap July 11th

That 80s Show: Air Products and Chemicals (NYSE: APD - News)
Cramer discussed APD which he believes will follow the pattern of stocks that reach $80, catch momentum, gain institutional buyers, and continue to move higher to $100 and eventually to $120. In search of a bull market, APD was a simple gas business that moved into energy and electronics. Cramer notes APD is also an environmental play, since it is the world' s leading producer of hydrogen which refineries use to clean up oil.
E = MC Squared: EMC (NYSE: EMC - News)
Cramer likes EMC as an investment or a trade because it owns VMware, a company which produces money-saving products and has been described as "the next Google." He added, "I know the heart of Wall Street. That's why I am sure people are going to fall in love with the VMware story." EMC is spinning off VMWare at a range between $23 and $25, but Cramer thinks the range could increase by $10, because interest in the deal will "explode." Since EMC will still hold a portion of VMware, it will benefit from the IPO's success. Cramer believes EMC is undervalued, its estimates are too low, and it should rise on its July 24 earnings report. He suggests buying some on Thursday between 10 and 11 am, and picking up more when the stock dips.

CEO Interview: Theodore Solso, Cummins Engine (NYSE: CMI - News)
Theodore Solso wanted to corrrect a common misconception that Cummins is mainly a trucking play. CMI has moved beyond trucking, and "The investment community hasn't understood that until the first quarter of this year." Solso discussed organic growth domestically and abroad in China and India. Cramer commented CMI is "not done going up."

Jim Cramer's Stop Trading July 9th

Paccar (NasdaqGS: PCAR - News) and Cummins Engine (NYSE: CMI - News): A Bear Stearns' upgrade of outperform from neutral brought CMI up 11% and PCAR to 6% on Monday. Cramer says these companies have further to rise.
Olin (NYSE: OLN - News) and PPG (NYSE: PPG - News): Acquisitions in the chemicals sector could mean that "cheap" plays OLN and PPG could be bought, according to Cramer.
Brinker (NYSE: EAT - News), Buffalo Wild Wings (NasdaqGS: BWLD - News), Chipotle (NYSE: CMG - News), McDonald's (NYSE: MCD - News) and Yum (NYSE: YUM - News): A Morgan Stanley report which indicates private equity's reluctance to rescue EAT may send restaurant stocks down. Cramer chose a select few worth buying including BWLD, CMG and international plays MCD and YUM.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap July 9th

Cramer's 80 to 120 Rule: Boeing (NYSE: BA - News), Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT - News) and Cummins (NYSE: CMI - News)
Back in the eighties, Cramer formed a theory that leading stocks attract money and just keep leading, and more specifically, stocks which reach $80 usually climb $100 and then to $120. He applied this rule to Boeing and Caterpillar. While some suspect BA, which closed at $99.90 on Monday, is played out, Cramer thinks the good news is not priced into the stock, which he predicts will reach $120. He says the same is true of CAT, which closed at $79.83 on Monday, and thinks the UBS analyst who downgraded CAT made a big mistake. The stock is cheaper than it looks, and has great international exposure to compensate for its lackluster U.S. business. Cramer adds CAT reminds him of CMI, which was at $72, and turned out to be a winner.
Ultra Petroleum (AMEX: UPL - News) and Questar (NYSE: STR - News)
True to his suggestion to search the newspapers for great stock ideas, Cramer discussed a New York Times article which indicated the Bush Administration told the Bureau of Land Management to make oil and gas drilling a top priority. He suggets making a profit from this news with UPL and STR, which had been prevented from dilling year-round, and now are going to be released from seasonal restrictions. Of the two, Cramer says UPL is more speculative, because it is only leveraged to China on the international scene. The increase on drilling will be good for both companies.
CEO Interview: John Dionisio, Aecom Technology (NYSE: ACM - News)
John Dionisio told Cramer 40% of the technical services company's revenue is created overseas, and since there is a lot of consolidation in the industry, ACM should easily find an acquisition. Cramer commented a stock like ACM is what investors need.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap June 22

I'ts a Given: Given Imaging (NasdaqGM: GIVN - News)
Cramer's speculative pick on Friday was Israeli wireless medical imaging company, GIVN, which is perfecting a PillCam video capsules which are a more comfortable, convenient way of checking for gastronomical problems than traditional methods. He pointed out his track record of making viewers money with medical device companies such as Hansen Medical, Micrus Endovascular,Kyphon, and Intuitive Surgical, and he feels the technology behind the PillCam is much simpler than that of other devices. While investors are taking a "calculated risk" Cramer expects big earnings from Given and notes its guidance inspires confidence.
Big Brother is Watching You: Omniture (NasdaqGM: OMTR - News)
The next big thing in internet advertising is OMTR, according to Cramer, since the company monitors what people are watching online; "With Omniture, you can tell advertisers what is hot at the exact moment," Cramer said. The time for Yahoo, Google and Microsoft to buy this stock was yesterday, Cramer commented, and if OMTR's shares were valued the same as Microsoft valued aQuantive's before the acquisition, OMTR would be sitting at $35 instead of $2o.66. The company gave a secondary offering and sold 8 million shares at $18, which is an indication that " no amount of stupid sellers can knock this thing down ... There's too much demand." However, Cramer warned he is recommending this speculative stock on a takeover bid and not on its margins.
Game Plan for the Coming Week: Bear Stearns (NYSE: BSC - News), XTO Energy (NYSE: XTO - News), Medco Health (NYSE: MHS - News), Express Scripts (NasdaqGS: ESRX - News), Nike (NYSE: NKE - News), Kroger (NYSE: KR - News), Oracle (NasdaqGS: ORCL - News), McCormick (NYSE: MKC - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News), Research In Motion (NasdaqGS: RIMM - News)
Cramer said the failure of two hedge funds does not spell bad news for BSC, which he would buy on Thursday. The cause was a hedge fund manager's "stupid mistake" and Cramer doesn't think BSC is dependent on the success or failure of the funds. He would pay attention to companies such as XTO, MHS and ESRX which are speaking at the Wachoviaand Jeffries conferences next week. He suggests setting up half a positon in NKE before its earnings report and the other half after a subsequent drop. Cramer would buy KR, since it doesn't get enough respect, as well as Oracle and thinks MKC is a good low-risk stock. He predicts RAD, which reports on Thursday, will continue to "motor up" and he would buy it on any weakness. For those who don't yet own RIMM, Cramer suggests picking it up after its earnings report.
Mad Mail: Posco (NYSE: PKX - News), Cummins (NYSE: CMI - News), Spartan (NasdaqGS: SPAR - News)
Although he didn't mention the PKX when he discussed 20 of Buffett's stock picks on thursday's Mad Money progam, Cramer thinks it is a good, inexpensive steel company. Cramer thinks CMI is still rising but would beware of SPAR, which is down a two points.

Jim Cramer's Stop Trading May 2nd

Owens Corning (NYSE: OC - News), Masco (NYSE: MAS - News), Centex (NYSE: CTX - News) and Cummins Engine (NYSE: CMI - News): A strong quarter from OC, MAS and CTX indicate there are sectors that are moving, and while things are slow on the domestic scene, exporters are faring well. Cramer adds CMI is a "fabulous" exporter, even though "No one ever thought that Cummins Engine in Indiana even knew where Kazakhstan was."
Liz Claiborne (NYSE: LIZ - News), Jones of New York (NYSE: JNY - News): After disappointing reports from LIZ and JNY, Cramer is bearish on retail, and said LIZ was the worst report he had seen the entire quarter, while JNY was "really bad."

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap April 27th

At Your Laser: Ionatron (NasdaqGM: IOTN)
One stock Cramer likes for the CNBC Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge and even more for an actual speculative play is IOTN which produces lasers. The company makes both lethal and non-lethal lasers which are effective in locating and detonating explosive devices. The stock fell from $14 to $5 last May when it was passed up for a military contract, but IOTN has improved its technology to fit devices on existing vehicles, and Cramer predicts it will get the contract this time around and squeeze the shorts. He would do homework before buying the stock.

A Roll of the Dice: Penn National Gaming Inc. (NasdaqGS: PENN)
Next on Cramer's list of attractive takeover targets for private equity firms is PENN, a gaming company which is not among the most famous names, but gives "regular people all over the country the opportunity to foolishly flush their hard-earned money down the slots." The purchase of Harrah's is proof that private equity firms would consider a gaming play, and since PENN is smaller and cheaper, it would be easier to purchase. He predicts PEN will be taken over at a premium; "I think this one could make you over 30%, if you play your cards right," Cramer said.

Game Plan for the Coming Week: Vulcan Materials (NYSE: VMC - News), Avon (NYSE: AVP - News), Quest (NYSE: Q - News), Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG - News), Medco Health (NYSE: MHS - News), Wyndham Hotels (NYSE: WYN - News), General Cable (NYSE: BGC - News), Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG - News), Buffalo Wild Wings (NasdaqGS: BWLD), Allergan (NYSE: AGN - News), Transocean (NYSE: RIG - News), Trinity Industries (NYSE: TRN - News), American Railcar (NasdaqGS: ARII), Celgene (NasdaqGS: CELG), Charter Communications (NasdaqGM: CHTR), Level 3 (NasdaqGS: LVLT), Anderson's (NasdaqGS: ANDE), Estee Lauder (NYSE: EL - News), KBR Inc. (NYSE: KBR - News)
Monday: Cramer said the best strategy for the coming week is to grab winners ahead of their reports, and added there are so many great names, it may be hard to choose. On Monday, he likes VMC, up 82% with room to run.
Tuesday: Cramer has freed AVP from permanent residence on his Sell Block segment and predicts AVP will hit a "homerun." The stock is up a little over a dollar and has great BRIC exposure. Although Quest has had a 43% gain, Cramer is still backing it, and anticipates the announcement of a buyback or a dividend increase. He thinks PG will join the ranks of Pepsi and Coke thanks to its international success. MHS is "a member of the pantheon of consistency if there ever was one," since it is leveraged to drugs going generic and off patent. Cramer likes WYN as a baby boomer play and expects rosy numbers. After the bell, GC is a pick Cramer believes will go higher, although it has had a recent run-up. Concerning CMG and BWLD, he said, "I praise these stocks endlessly and correctly. I'm not stopping now."
Wednesday: Although Allergan is up 23% and "everyone is freaking out about competition," Cramer is not worried. He still likes RIG, but since it has risen 11%, Cramer would wait for it to come in a bit. He is also bullish on rail stocks TRN and ARII.
Thursday: Cramer says CELG has been "perking along" up from under $55 in February to over $61 now and predicts it will rally. He would sell CHTR before the quarter and buy it back. He reiterated his bullishness on LVLT and noted its strong organic growth and improved balance sheet. Cramer is looking forward to witnessing a short squeeze when ANDE reports; "We're going into ethanol harvest season. What are these people thinking? Go long, not short." He also likes EL as "the quintessential weak-dollar play."
Friday: Cramer suggests viewers invest in KBR "the only overlooked infrastructure play left on Earth," and says KBR will follow other giants in the sector, which have rallied.
Mad Mail, Cummins Engine (NYSE: CMI - News): Cramer congratulates those viewers who heeded his call to buy CMI and made some money; "We really nailed that one," he said.

General Motors (NYSE: GM - News) and Ford (NYSE: F - News): Cramer is skeptical about GM comments that subprime problems were to blame for the company's lackluster performance when other sectors such as retail have reported great numbers; "I mean, we did go up 15 out of 16 days, despite the fact that we were torching our houses to get the money from Allstate." He added although Ford is a turnaround story, there is not yet tangible evidence.
Barclays' (NYSE: BCS - News), Fifth Third (NasdaqGS: FITB), Comerica (NYSE: CMA - News), SunTrust (NYSE: STI - News), America (NYSE: BAC - News): On Barclay's offer for ABN Amro, Cramer would buy FITB, CMA, and STI here, but comments BAC has acquisition addiciton; "There is no 12-step program for what BAC is doing... They would have to hit bottom. They have to hit banking skid row."
AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN - News) Medimmune (NasdaqGS: MEDI), Celgene (NasdaqGS: CELG), Cephalon (NasdaqGS: CEPH), Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI - News), Cummins (NYSE: CMI - News): Cramer called AZN's acquisition of MEDI a "classic overpay" and may make CELG and CEPH seem undervalued.
