Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round Nov. 30th

Abbott Labs (ABT): Cramer likes this stock because it has great drugs and diagnostics. He also recommended Baxter (BAX), Bard (BCR), and Becton Dickinson (BDX).
Infinera (INFN): Cramer doesn't want to be in this stock because he doesn't like the optical sector.
Southern Copper (PCU): Cramer is bullish on this stock, but he thinks Freeport McMoran (FCX) is better since it's cheap and he thinks it will be taken over soon.
Nordstroms (JWN): Cramer thinks this stock should go up to $36, so he would buy the stock here.
E*Trade (ETFC): Cramer thinks you will get hurt if you try to invest in this stock. He is bearish.
Anthracite Capital (AHR): This is a residential REIT, so Cramer is bearish. He recommended the caller buy Annaly Capital (NLY) instead.
Anadarko Petroleum (APC): Cramer thinks this stock is terrific, along with Apache (APA), Devon (DVN), and XTO (XTO).
Trane (TT): Cramer said he has been looking at this stock and was actually going to recommend it later tonight, but he has second thoughts about it because of its residential construction exposure. He still thinks it is a well run company.
Northern Trust (NTRS): Cramer thinks this and State Street (STT) are the best run financial institutions in the country, so he wants to recommend both of them.

CNBC's Fast Money Recap Nov. 19th

The Dow closed down 218 points and the Nasdaq fell 43 points on Monday. Finerman sees storm clouds are everywhere and the Goldman downgrade of Citigroup (C) really hurt the markets. Najarian had a fun day trading. He also thinks the financial sector is in big trouble and he is extremely worried about General Motors (GM) which fell below $27.
Louise Yamada, a highly ranked technician on Wall Street, joined the show to discuss her analysis on the technicals of the market. She is currently worried that the S&P 500 could break 1406, which would signal to her an end of the longer-term uptrend. Yamada is still bullish on Cisco Systems (CSCO) and she would look to buy pullbacks on the name. She looked at the chart on Broadcom (BRCM) calling it a sell because it hasn't followed through after a false break-out. The chart on Coca-Cola (KO) is initiating an uptrend according to Yamada, so she would be a buyer of KO. Bed Bath and Beyond (BBBY) should be sold.
Retail
Nordstrom (JWN) reported a 22% rise in third-quarter profits helped by an extra week of sales.
Sears Holdings (SHLD) disclosed it has taken a 13.7% stake in Restoration Hardware (RSTO) and the possibility of proposing an acquisition.
Target (TGT) is set to report earnings Tuesday before the opening bell.

Medtronic (MDT) reported a 2% decline in profits, but the stock trades 3% higher after hours.
Lowe's (LOW) dropped 7% after reporting a 10% decline in profits due to the weak housing market.
Celgene (CELG) bought Pharmion (PHRM) for $2.9 billion. Adami thinks that Phizer must make a similar acquisition.
EchoStar (DISH) shares exploded higher Monday after Citigroup said there was a 65% chance that AT&T (T) will buy DISH.
Ultimate Fighting is now the fasting growing spectator sport in the United States. Macke says look for growth in cable companies and satellite companies like Viacom (VIA) and EchoStar. He also thinks makers of energy drinks like Coca-Cola will benefit. He said avoid the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) because the UFC is taking share. Lastly, Macke speculated that Anheuser-Busch (BUD) could be near a beverage deal with the UFC.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Oct. 29th

On Monday's show, Cramer said that he thinks retailers will have a turnaround. He believes that the good retailers can't fall any further, and that there will be 2 more rate cuts before the end of the year, which he thinks is bullish for retailers if you look back at their past performance after rate cuts. Cramer also said that the change in the weather will allow retailers to move some of their new winter products. His first two retail picks are Ralph Lauren (RL) and Nordstrom (JWN). Both of these stocks are down big from their recent highs, and he thinks that luxury goods retailers will be the first to turn around since people with more money to spend won't be as concerned with economical concerns, making both of these stocks bargains.
Cramer then went to the phonelines. The first caller asked about J.C. Penney (JCP), and Cramer said that he likes the stock, but can't pull the trigger because he thinks it will be behind the luxury retailers when the sector turns around. The next caller asked about timing the purchase of retail stocks around Christmas. Cramer said that it is time to buy these two stocks now. The last caller asked about Build a Bear Workshop (BBW), and Cramer said he wants you to stay far away from that stock.
Cramer then gave out his top retail pick, which was Target (TGT). He also noticed that stores are very full, thinks that they make shopping fun, that they are opening stores rapidly, and that the stock is cheap. But his primary reason is that the company is thinking about selling its credit card business, which could fetch up to $7 billion. Target could use this money for a large stock buyback.
Cramer also mentioned that he had a good call to sell Smith and Wesson (SWHC) last week since they guided earnings lower today.
After the lightning round, Cramer talked with Chris Matthews about the effect politics and the upcoming elections will have on the stock markets.
Mad Mail: The first email asked if Cramer would have other presidential candidates on the show, and Cramer said that he welcomes them all on the show. The next email asked about Sketchers (SKX), and Cramer said that he thinks they suffered from bad timing, and he thinks they have that straightened out now. Another email asked about Six Flags (SIX), and Cramer said they got hurt by bad weather and bad acquisitions. Lastly, an emailer asked about Hologic (HOLX), and Cramer said not to worry about the large short interest because it is being driven up by merger arbitrage players.
Sudden Death. Cramer is bullish on Manitowoc (MTW), bullish on Baidu.com (BIDU), bearish on Dow Chemical (DOW), and bullish on Adobe (ADBE).

Stock Market Wrapup Apr. 12

Stocks pushed higher today as investors weighed stronger-than-expected gains in retail sales against scattered warnings of a tepid sales outlook for April and an uptick in unemployment claims. Investors spotted buying opportunities in yesterday's pullback, which was fueled by the release of the minutes from the last Federal Open Market Committee meeting. After moderating somewhat in recent sessions, crude oil prices advanced sharply, while the 10-year Treasury note closed unchanged.
Retailers generally reported solid sales in March, buoyed by the early arrival of the Easter holiday. Their announcements followed on the heels of Wednesday's report of strong March sales by Target (NYSE: TGT - News). An exception was the world's No. 1 retailer, Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT - News), which warned that it will be a "challenge" to meet Q1 profit expectations. The company made the announcement even though it posted same-store sales figures that rose 4%, topping the 1% to 2% increase it had forecasted. Conversely, the company said April same-store sales could be flat to down -2%.
Easter's early arrival will negatively impact results in April, many retailers warned. Among the other companies that turned in solid March sales results were Costco Wholesale (Nasdaq: COST - News). The warehouse retailer reported a 6% gain in same-store sales, topping estimates of a 4.7% increase. Mid-market retailer J.C. Penney (NYSE: JCP - News) reported a 10.6% increase in same-store sales, exceeding forecasts, while high-end department store operator Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN - News) posted a 15% gain in comparative-store results, which was nearly double estimates.
In a move reminiscent of Michael Dell's return to the helm of Dell (Nasdaq: DELL - News), the founder of embattled Internet phone provider Vonage Holdings (NYSE: VG - News) is returning to the CEO's chair. Jeffrey Citron, founder, chairman, and "chief strategist" replaces Michael Snyder, who stepped down as CEO and resigned from the board. The company is embroiled in a patent battle with Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ - News), which it is, by all accounts, losing. Vonage's shares have shed about -80% of their value since the company's IPO last year.
Another executive shake-up occurred at online job-board provider Monster Worldwide (Nasdaq: MNST - News). The company's shares rose 5.4% on news that CEO William M. Pastore would leave the top job. He will be replaced by Sal Iannuzzi, former CEO of Symbol Technologies. Motorola (NYSE: MOT - News) bought Symbol Technologies in January. Monster had to restate past financial results after a probe into its options program.
Shares of MedImmune (Nasdaq: MEDI - News) jumped 15.3% after announcing the company was exploring its possible sale. MedImmune makes the FluMist flu vaccine. The company has been under pressure from large investors who contend the company could fetch a sizable premium from a bigger pharmaceutical company. Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM - News), meanwhile, shed -8.2% after the BlackBerry maker reported Q4 results that came up short of Wall Street's expectations and issued a disappointing forecast.

Frontier Oil Corp. (NYSE:FTO - News) said fourth-quarter earnings fell to $52.4 million, or 47 cents a share, from $63 million, or 55 cents a share, a year earlier. Harley-Davidson Inc. (NYSE:HOG - News) has taken down its targets for motorcycle shipments and earnings growth as the result of a recently ended three-week strike at its York, Pa., manufacturing plant, the company said Tuesday. While full production is expected to resume over the next week, the strike will eventually result in a loss of approximately one month's production. "A disruption of this magnitude has a significant impact on our business, as well as our suppliers, dealers, employees and our retail customers," said Tom Bergmann, Harley's chief financial officer, in a written release. The company expects to ship 64,000 to 66,000 units in the first quarter, down from a previous goal of 82,000 to 84,000 units, although it hopes to make up 4,000 to 5,000 during the remainder of the year. For the full year, Harley said it now expects "moderate" revenue growth, along with lower margins, and earnings per share growth in the range of 4% to 6%. But it forecast a return to 11% to 17% EPS growth in 2008 and 2009.
Hovnanian (NYSE:HOV - News) expects a first-quarter loss. It delivered 3,266 homes in the first quarter while net contracts declined 23% to 2,570.

The company said the difficult automotive environment, particularly in North America, is taking its toll. Sales rose 9% to 6.34 billion, helped by an increase in the company's European and rest of the world production sales. The company declared a quarterly dividend of 19 cents a share. For 2007, Magna expects consolidated sales of $22.9 billion to $24.2 billion. It sees spending for fixed assets in the range of $800 million to $850 million.
NetEase.com's (NasdaqGS:NTES - News) fourth-quarter profit grew 19% as the Beijing Internet company's revenue grew nearly 15% to $69.2 million.

The 2006 fourth quarter included a benefit of $26.1 million, or $1.18 per share, associated with a settlement with Northwest Airlines Corp. . The Memphis, Tenn., regional airline said revenue in the three months ended Dec. 31 fell 4% to $204.5 million from $213 million. Three analysts polled by Thomson Financial forecast earnings, on average, of 57 cents a share.
Sanderson Farms Inc. (NasdaqGS:SAFM - News) narrowed its fiscal first quarter loss, but the poultry producer said Tuesday it remained firmly in the red on high feed costs and soft, though slowly rising, pricing. Jim Cramer's Wall Street Confidential Feb. 8

HSBC (NYSE: HBC - News), JP Morgan (NYSE: JPM - News), Bank of America (NYSE: BAC - News), ING (NYSE: ING - News), New Century (NYSE: NEW - News), Accredited Home Lenders (NasdaqGS: LEND), Countrywide (NYSE: CFC - News)
There is a British Invasion of Banks as HSBC moves in and takes business from BAC, JPM and causes concerns about the mortgage market. Cramer contrasted the strategies of ING, which has the "best, most sophisticated online approach" with HSBC which "is trying to buy your business by being the lender of last resort." Cramer adds that HSBC made a big mistake in not buying another major American bank. In addition, there are worries about NEW's 25% yield and that LEND is going to have more defaults than expected. However, Cramer says CFC is "right" but would wait until a bottom in the sector before buying.
J.C. Penney (NYSE: JCP - News), Saks (NYSE: SKS - News), Federated Department Stores (NYSE: FD - News), Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN - News) and Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL - News)
Cramer says that "the winners keep winning" in retail, except for JCP. He adds that SKS had a "monster month," FD is recovering, and JCP has "a lot of things going for it." Meanwhile, high-end retailers JWN, SKS and RL are "on fire." Although there is a large short position on RL, Cramer says its brands are fantastic, it has great accelerated revenue growth and it is a major momentum stock for 2007.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap

Out in the Open: Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT - News), Lamar (NASDAQ: LAMR - News), Clear Channel (NYSE: CCO - News) and CBS (NYSE: CBS - News)
Although Cramer has often said that old media is dying, the oldest advertisements, billboards, are " coming back with a vengeance," because they are on the street where they cannot be avoided and are going digital. Daktronics is up 165%, but Cramer recommends buying it because the company "owns the market" in digital billboards, which he believes is the fastest growing form of advertising after the internet. The company also produces scoreboards for sports events. Cramer thinks Lamar is a better acquisition than CBS and Clear Channel, " because it is a pure play and is "going digital faster than any other company."

Safeway's Secret (NYSE: SWY - News)
Since many of the obvious holiday stocks are "played out" Cramer suggested a good oblique strategy for benefitting from the season by investing in Safeway which, in addition to running great stores, owns the $4-5 billion greeting card business, Blackhawk, whose products are sold by Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS - News), Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL - News) iTunes, MasterCard (NYSE: MA - News), Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN - News), Home Depot (NYSE: HD - News) and Sears (NASDAQ: SHLD - News). Not many people are aware that Safeway owns Blackhawk, but when this is no longer a secret, the stock should rise, comments Cramer. In addition, Safeway's supermarkets are "financially sound enough to add a half-billion dollars to its buyback program last Friday and offer a dividend," and he would get into the stock before its analyst meeting on Tuesday.
CEO Interview: David Pyott of Allergan (NYSE: AGN - News)
David Pyott discussed the company's developing program for neuropathic pain and its rapid growth in the opthalmology sector. "The great position we have is that Allergan is the largest company in the world in the medical aesthetics space," he said, noting the popularity of breast implants, Botox and Juviderm among plastic surgery customers. Pyott also mentioned an upcoming trial between Juviderm and Medicis' Restylane to see which treatment customers like better and lasts longer. After the interview, Cramer commented that Thomas Weisel Partners' downgrade of Allergan was unfair, and that he would back up the truck as soon as the stock's price dips.

Jim Cramer's Real Money Radio Recap Nov. 30

WellPoint (NYSE: WLP - News), MedcoHealth (NYSE: MHS - News), Quest Diagnostics (NYSE: DGX - News), Schering-Plough (NYSE: SGP - News), Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ - News), Pfizer (NYSE: PFE - News) Merck (NYSE: MRK - News), Novartis (NYSE: NVS - News), GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK - News) - Cramer notes that drug stocks are having a post-election rally and are screaming "buy, buy, buy!" with the exception of Pfizer, a "challenged company" which has fired a lot of people to "create an upside surprise by lowering its bar." Cramer likes MHS, DGX, SGP, JNJ, MRK, NVS, GSK and adds that WLP is best of breed.

Sacked Citi: Citigroup (NYSE: C - News) - Cramer comments that since CEO Chuck Prince protected Citibank against New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, shareholders have been "brain dead and happy" and fail to realize that there needs to be a change in leadership. Concerning suggestions that Citibank should be broken up, Cramer said, "I believe that breakup calls make sense, but not until you have someone at the helm who can make a difference." Cramer suggested selling Citibank.
Housing, General Motors (NYSE: GM - News), Ford (NYSE: F - News) and Exxon (NYSE: XOM - News) - Cramer notes that in housing, sellers are "desperate", are cutting prices, and buyers should take advantage of the current inventory excess. "There is not an industry in the world that can finance nonproducing inventory except oil, which is why I like that business so much," Cramer said. "Its inventory goes up in price as it sits because of a developing multiyear storage." Homebuilding is a cyclical rather than a secular grower, explains Cramer adding that they "downgraded the cyclicals at the bottom of the cycle because the price-to-earnings ratios soared." Cramer notes the pullback of the auto and housing sectors and predicts a "big decline" in the economy, adding that GM and Ford are laying off workers. Cramer does see some momentum in energy with Exxon as the "annointed stock."
Bullish calls:
