Limelight Networks Inc. (LLNW) Stock Plummets on Earnings News

Limelight Networks Inc., a content delivery network for digital media, said Thursday it expects earnings in the third quarter and year to fall short of Wall Street estimates, after reporting a decline in its second-quarter net income.
The company expects a loss of 4 cents to 6 cents per share in the September quarter and break-even to 2 cents per share in profit for the year, excluding items. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial forecast, on average, a third-quarter profit of 1 cent per share and a full-year profit of 5 cents per share. Analysts estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Limelight Networks said that on a GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) basis, it expects a third-quarter loss of 8 cents to 10 cents per share, with a full-year loss of 51 cents to 54 cents per share.
